Amid her ongoing legal battle with The Walt Disney Company, Gina Carano has signed with Straightwire Entertainment Group for management and representation.
“Gina Carano is not only an exceptional talent but a wonderful human being and we are thrilled to be joining her in the next chapter of her career,“ said Robert Weston, CEO of Straightwire Entertainment Group.

Carano had a successful acting career, starring in blockbuster films including Deadpool, Fast & Furious 6, and Haywire before transitioning to television.
Fired From Star Wars
The actress stared in The Mandalorian as bounty hunter Cara Dune and was set to get her own Star Wars spin-off titled Rangers of the New Republic when Lucasfilm fired her.
In early 2021, the studio announced that Carano would not return to the Star Wars universe after the actress made a series of controversial tweets, including one where she compared the conversations around COVID-19 vaccines to Nazi Germany.
Last month, backed by Elon Musk, Carano sued Disney and Lucasfilm over her firing, saying that the two entities engaged in “bullying, discriminatory, and retaliatory actions — actions that inflicted not only substantial emotional harm but millions of dollars in lost income.”

Disney, for their part, has refused to comment on the case.
The Actress Has More Projects in the Pipeline
According to Carano, with her new management team in tow, she has new projects in the works.
“Rob Weston is the English gentleman who remains calm in any environment and has deep knowledge of this industry, as well as a really unique and keen eye for art and storytelling. I feel relieved to push the refresh button in signing on with Rob and I am as ambitious as ever in this new chapter of my life and career,” Carano told Deadline.
