Jonathan Majors will not testify in his ongoing trial for domestic assault.

After nearly two weeks of testimony, the defense rested on Wednesday afternoon, and no further witnesses will be called.

In total, Priya Chaudhry and Seth Zuckerman, who are representing Majors, only called three witnesses to the stand before resting.

Closing arguments will now begin on Thursday morning. After that, the jury deliberations will begin. The verdict could be reached Friday or early next week, depending on how long the jury needs.

The Incident In Question

Grace Jabbari, Majors’s ex-girlfriend, testified last week that the incident in question began on March 25 when she saw a text message on Majors’ phone from another woman that read, “Wish I was kissing you right now.”

After she took the phone out of the Loki star’s hands, Majors forcibly retrieved it. Jabbari testified that this caused bruising, swelling, and “excruciating pain.” She was later diagnosed with a fractured finger and a cut behind her ear, consistent with having either hit something or been hit.

The Driver Said Majors Was “Not Doing Anything”

On Monday, Naveed Sarwar, the driver, testified that he heard Majors and Jabbari arguing in the back seat.

According to the chauffeur, Majors opened the car door to try and get rid of Jabbari, saying “Leave me alone. I want to go. I have to go.”

Sarwar also testified that Majors was “not doing anything; [Jabbari] was doing everything.”

Evidence Released To the Public

On Wednesday, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office released several pieces of evidence previously unseen by the public.

Among the evidence released were security and traffic cam footage that showed Majors and Jabbari exiting the car and running down the street. Other exhibits included Majors’s 911 call, text messages, and an audio recording of an argument between Majors and Jabbari.

After an 8 month saga, the Jonathan Majors story is finally coming to an end. Hopefully, justice will be served in a matter of days.
